We are pleased to announce that our office is processing Drivers License Renewals and Identification Card Renewals.

Monday – Friday: 9am–5pm
Saturday: 9am – 12pm.

A Legislative authorized convenience fee of $23 applies to each of the services.

Drivers License Renewals

Louisiana drivers licenses are issued for a 6 year period.

The following items are required to renew your driver’s license:

• Louisiana driver’s license with photo
• Proof of insurance

Duplicate Drivers Licenses

A duplicate license or identification card may be issued when license or identification card has been lost, stolen, or mutilated.

• Proper identification must be presented. (There are some exceptions.)
• Proof of insurance
• If the license will expire within 90 days, the transaction must be processed as a renewal.
• If the license will expire within 180 days, the applicant has the option to renew.

$5.00 fee in addition to the $8.00 handling fee (except for CDL).
The duplicate fee also apply to applicants over 70 years of age.

Reinstatement Service

We clear “No-Insurance” Flags!

Whether you were accidentally flagged, or you were without insurance, we can remove your flag to clear your driver’s license. We are here to help you Mon-Fri 9am-4pm and Saturday 9am-11:45am. Note: Additional convenience fee of $23.00.

In order to be placed in compliance without having to pay a reinstatement fee you must provide one of the following:

• An insurance card, declaration page or policy with an effective date within 1 day from the cancellation date, or
• The registration certificate indicating the vehicle was registered in another state within 10 days from the cancellation date, or
• A bill of sale/trade in document (to include name and address of purchaser), a junked/salvaged receipt, a repossession statement from the lien holder, proof of loss, a statement from the insurance company (vehicle totaled), a statement from the lessor (leasing company) indicating that the vehicle was surrendered to the lessor within 10 days of the cancellation date, or
• If the vehicle is in the owner’s possession and is inoperable and has been inoperable since the date of cancellation, the plate must be surrendered within ten (10) days of the date of the notice.
